Goopy sacks get ’em good….

That’s right. Goopy sacks. Goopy, dripping spawn sacks packed with quality eggs and sardines. That’s what got them good yesterday at a popular spring chinook lake fishery here in the PacNW.

This is a video of a friend’s boat that Matt aka MME and I captured during our 13 hour skunked roll yesterday. At least we got to use the camera on people we were fishing with. Just too bad they weren’t in our boat.

Brennan’s pennance for creating ‘out of the box’ baits continues in grand fashion beyond his steelhead recipes towards solid production on spring salmon.

Here is what I was able to capture while trolling past in one case…and bobber fishing next to…in another. Their boat hooked 4 fish while almost no one else on the lake touched a thing. Solid efforts, guys.

Wow, that looked like some old memories of the blue bath tub gettin into the Springers. Watch out for that punch. Who needs a fish wacker.

Nice video Heller. That was crazy that the bricks rod buried over on the pass just awsome. Great job out there guys you really do know that fishery “EZ”.
Just for the record that fishery is really really boring. Although I did learn a ton. Great day on the water all together though. Learned a shit load and made it home safe. Good luck out there everyone..
    Keep skamania green:-)

Nice job on the video and for giving the big pool a try. I like the egg balls under a bobber..fun way to fish for them. The small boat definitely allowed them to become one with the fish. The handle on the net looked long enough to pole the boat around with. All in all, a good day on the water.

Yeah, I gave it a try. But dang, that fishery isn’t very fun. Sucked me dry. Back to the bank for this kid.

Thank God for EZ Emerick and The Brick hooking me up with springers this season. Good looking out, kids.
