Anglerlectual

Khoi with a summer fish from this year…

I was spending some time today talking to a younger version of myself. His name is Khoi Boy Khoi Mai.

His is 16 years old and had caught many more fish than anglers twice his age. I’d like to think that my dialogue with Khoi is graced by the fact we are all drawn into this river angling game…and regardless of our age, monitary status, and so on and so fourth….

We can all find a common passion by which to align our behavior towards. Like minded organizations are very had to find. Let alone fishing people you may call a friend for the rest of your life.

My job gives me all this and more. And what my blog doesn’t give me now…..I am determined to make sure it gives it to me later. To US later.

And to offer Khoi as as example of excellent anglers I’ve met from all ages is completely appropriate….and I hope that Khoi looks to me as I looked to Eric Linde, Mark Yaho, Mark Akerill, Paul Stehlik etc.

For now I will simply say that my young jedi, Khoi Boy, is indeed in need of Team Salmon…as we are in need of him. Dig?

We need more Khoi Boy.
