Fish Reports Gear Fishing Salmon, Trout & Steelhead — 05 April 2012
The spring chinook that our state agencies have been whistling about since last November are finally showing up along the beaches of the lower river access points. In decent numbers anyway. Let’s take a peak at what some bad ass AllAroundAnglers did today to an unlucky few….

Big Al The Damager with a fat slab alongside Kirby Cannon….

More Bloodlust from Sturdy Kirby’s crew……notice the hat? They’re for sale and I’m pretty sure they are fishy as heck.
Sturdy Kirby Cannon is the Owner/Founder of PDXSALMONJUNKIE.com…a custom spinner and terminal accessory company.

That’s what I am talking about! Good going guys. I do have room in my freezer for springer filets, so I need to get with it. Sal

Man, those are some beauties. Steelhead season is done here in Ca, and most of our rivers don’t have stable enough springer populations to allow for fishing. Back in the day, the Feather River was an awesome springer fishery, but these days it isn’t even open. The Klamath or the Rogue is the closest option for me to chase springers.
