My auctioned NW Steelheaders trip, thanks to Russell Bassett for the confidence and opportunity, was redeemed today by two fine gentlemen interested in perfecting float fishing. We beat the rain and never saw another boat. We lost two of the biggest steelhead ever hooked from my boat. One on naked Bobber Down Jigs with rabbit fur tail…sliding…and the other on a big pink plastic. Fixed. One fish broke the line and the other…I dunno what happened. Not sure how 1/0 Owners are coming out. Both anglers each hooked one piggy. Both fish broke water. Some cutties too. Many thanks to Mr. Ron Ems for the bid. Remember I’ll be speaking Wednesday evening here Vancouver, WA 6:30PM Pied Piper Pizza on Fourth Plain Blvd about out of the box winter steelhead tactics. Both drift boat and bank discussions intended. As always thank you all for your support.

Sounds like a nice day! Sometimes the fish wins. One thing is for certain, you made it happen and provided an adrenaline rush for those two fishermen! No doubt they learned a ton from you in the process. Nice work 🙂
