The last three weekends we’ve been pounding a stretch of wild steelhead water before it closes for the season. While we’ve been up against the main attraction of spring chinook season it’s offered us a river to ourselves for almost every float. We’ve seen a total of two boats in four trips. Fish on every trip. We’ve witnessed a probable lucky ending for deer likely being pursued by a bear or a cougar as it careened out of the brush into a rapid right in front of us. Bald eagles have guided our floats with their soaring aerobatics and cheerful chirps while in flight over our heads. And like I said quite a few fish too. I’ve been lucky enough to do these floats with some of the best people I know in my life and it’s been a pleasure. To say the least. I think we’ve all got the steelhead bug right now pretty good. I’m downloading all the video tonight and over the course of the week I hope to put something together. I’ve got about 30 videos to edit and stitch. Check back soon!

Too cool bro! I’m staying tuned 🙂
Thanks Bruv Gray!
Can’t wait for video. It was so nice to have the river to ourselves.
Yeah it sure was, Donaca. You did great with the net, camera and rowing while I fought that thing. Good trip bud.
Good water, great times and some good fighting steelhead. Definitely a float to do more than once. The videos ought to be good. Sal
Good stuff! Looking forward to some videos and getting back on the water with you soon.
